2FACE IDIBIA LAUNCHES NEW ALBUM

Popular Nigerian singer, 2face Idibia launched his fifth Album titled `AWAY AND BEYOND` at Eko Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria on April 30, 2012. The ace musician drew thousands of people to his show which included notable Nigerians such as Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Opral Benson etc, and top Nigerian artists, some of whom he did a collaboration with on stage. He did excellently well in his new Album and his performance on stage which lasted over three hours was amazing. His stage craft was actually so fantastic that the elites who attended the launch forgot what they stood for in the society that they danced in a manner that one would know that they were carried away by his craft. The great entertainer made it worse for potent men when he sang one of the tracks in his new Album titled DANCE IN THE RAIN. Three girls danced with very transperant attire showing their boobs and their pants. Beside me where guys who said to themselves in Pidgin English that wahala dey ooo, these girls go
kill person for here ooo. Another one said na that one wey her boobs big na him dance pass immediately one interrupted saying I know you, you too like big boobs and that that fair girl own wey dey portable na him I like quickly one of them said ha 2Face too dey creative wetin and another hailed with great excitement saying 2 Baba. Anyone who had heard him screem 2Baba will think he`s enjoying the music but I that was close knew that though DANCE IN THE RAIN is no doubt a beautiful track, but the song was not the reason why the man screemed 2Baba, rather it was the act (BOOBS) that thrilled him to shout 2Baba. Theirs was good because they expressed their opinions other will have their opinioms but this was the only one I heard though they were not talking to me but to themselves.Idibia did collabo with some of his friends present, like Vector, MI, Sound Sultan, W4, Sir Shina Peters, and he went back to his root as he performed with the PLANTASHUN BOYZ the group he belonged to before he went solo. No doubt, the Airtel branded music icon had a succesful Album launch.Picture above shows 2Face Idibia performing at his Album launch at Eko Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos on April 30, 2012

WIZKID, CHUDDY K, MI AND OTHERS PERFORM AS MERCY CHINWO WEARS NIGERIAN IDOL SEASON 2 CROWN

On October 9, 2011 Nigerian Idol season 2 began, and about two days less than six months, it produced a new music talent named Mercy Chinwo from Rivers state in Nigeria. Mercy beat Joseph Anthony Ekpo aka Joe Blue in the finals to go home with a cheque of 7.5 Million Nigerian Naira, a recording contract and a brand new hyundai SUV jeep worth 5.5 Million Naira. Joe Blue who came second will go home with 1.5 and Steve Onochie the third place winner went home with 1 Million Naira. A group of about five people consisting of two ladies and three guys were not happy with the way the second and third place winners were treated. One of them compared Nigerian Idol to Project Fame which is sponsored by MTN, and said that the first three in Project Fame Music Reality Show are rewarded generously. One quickly interupted and said yes you are right. They gave the first three cars in the last Project Fame. Yes Mercy deserves the victory but the one Million given to Joe from my own point of view is too small compared to the fantastic performance he put up and it`s like Nigerian Idol is designed in such a way that winner takes it all he said.In agreement, the five friends believe that what goes to the first and second runners-up is too small. Despite the observation of the five friends, the event went well and it recorded a huge sucess in terms of security, adminstration and orderliness. They studio was jam-packed with people and the artistes invited did not disappoint the audience. The top twelve contestants opened the floor with the Nigerian National Anthem and one after the other, the invited artistes began to mount the stage after being introduced by anchor of the occasion. The first invited artiste to perform on stage was Chuddy K, followed by W4, then MI and Wizkid. After all the ceremonies and entertainment, Mercy Chinwo was eventually declared the winner of Nigerian Idol season 2, on April 7, 2012. Picture above shows the top twelve L-R Diwari, Sly 1, Ibinabo, Nikky, Steve, Najite, Joe, Giami, Adum, Ayo, Chinedu and Mercy singing the Nigerian National Anthem at the event.
