NIGERIAN IDOL SEASON 2: WHO LEAVES THE SHOW?

On February 17, 2011, the Nigerian Idol  show, sponsored by etisalat Nigeria, was dedicated to late Whitney Houston, who died at age, forty-eight. The ten contestants, left in the show, all sang Whitney`s songs.Lynda Giami sang Whitney`s TRY IT ON MY OWN, Sylvester Kinsin, Sang SAVING ALL MY LOVE FOR YOU, WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS, was sang by Diwari Peterside, I HAVE NOTHING was sang by Nagite, Steve Onochie sang I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMBODY, I LOOK TO YOU was sang by Mercy Chinwo, COUNT ON ME was sang by Honey Adum, Nneka Njoku sang DIDN`T WE ALMOST HAVE IT ALL and Joe Anthony Ekpo sang ONE MOMENT IN TIME. The contests actually gave their best, but the viewers who are the voters have the final say. Two contestants must leave this week. NIGERIAN IDOL SEASON 2: CHARLY BOY CRIES!

Two contestants out of the top twelve left in etisalat sponsored Nigerian Idol, were booted out of the competition on February 16,2012.The two contests are Ibinabo Romeo, a Nigerian based in Gambia and Ayo Ayolola based in lagos. The announcement of Ayo`s eviction never meant anything to the Judges and audience until he was given the microphone to sing his final song before leaving the house. Ayo grabbed the microphone and sang James Blunt`s, (YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL). This thrilled fellow contestants that they traded their emotions with tears. The audience present in the studio screened at his beautiful performance that they kept shouting Ayo, Ayo, we love you. The most emotional aspect of the show was when the father himself, one of the Judges of Nigerian Idol and a music icon, Charly Boy broke into tears as Ayo kept singing the song you are beautiful. Some of the spectators present did not agree with the choices of the audience, as they believed, that the two who were evicted should have stayed. But, they have no choice, because the viewers have the final say. OAIC CALLS FOR PEACE IN NIGERIA

Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) held it`s first quarterly meeting for the year 2012 at the Cherubim and Serephim Movement Church aka Ayo nio in Lagos Nigeria on February 15, 2012. The organisation called for love amidst Nigerians. It doesn`t matter where anybody comes from the first vice president of the organisation Apostle general, Joseph Otubu said. Whoever you find by your side is your neighbour. Whether he or she is from your tribe or not, whether he or she practices your religion or not, but the fact that he or she is a human being, that person should be treated well. The absence of love is responsible for the present situation of the country says Joseph Otubu. He urged Nigerians to be at peace with each other no matter where the other person cpmes from or his religion. REMEMBRANCE OF HIS FAITHFULS

LIFE IS A RACE:PASTOR ENOCH ADEJARE ADEBOYE

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God on February 5, 2012, prayed for sportsmen and women in Nigeria at the Church`s international headquarters in Ebute metta Lagos Nigeria. The Title of his message, is that Life is a race. He made it clear to sports people present that they should not mind those who say what matters most is participation and that winning is not the ultimate. Pastor Adeboye then said, if winning is not the ultimate, like some people claim, then why are prices not given to failures.If anybody should come first, why not you he asked. Those who come first are human beings ain`t they he asked again.He urged sportsmen and women to be disciplined for that`s one of the keys to success. Taking it io the spiritual realm, only those who live for Christ on earth have won the race and the price attached to the victory is that, they will make the Kingdom of God. LIFE IS A RACE.
