THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA WITHDRAWS DANA AIR`S LICENSE

The Federal Government of Nigeria, today June 5, 2012, announced the withdrawal of the operating  license of Dana Airlines, owned by Indians, following the crash that left hundreds of people dead two days ago in Iju-Ishaga Lagos, Nigeria..

ANOTHER BLACK SUNDAY FOR NIGERIANS

·         At about 3.00pm Nigerian time, a commercial airline conveying one hundred and fifty three passengers which included Dr. Levi Ajuonuma NNPC`s group general manager, public affairs,Ehime Aikhomu, son of late Augustus Aikhomu,Nigeria’s former chief of general staff, some members of staff of First City Momument Bank(FCMB),crashed at Iju-Ishaga, Lagos Nigeria on June 3, 2012, about four minutes into landing at the Murtala Mohammed Airport. The plane which, departed Abuja for Lagos, left behind no survivors and reports have it that at Iju-Ishaga where the plane crashed, over one hundred and fifty people died. Investigations later revealed that the Blackbox has been found and the police are in custody of it.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has declared a three-day mourning period.
