2011 ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE/WORKSHOP ON THE CHALLENGES OF SICKLE CELL DISORDER

The National Orthopaedic Hospital Igbobi Lagos Nigeria on October 19, 2011 started a three day conference on the challenges of Sickle cell disorder. The conference will end on October 21, 2011 at the same venue.
Picture above is Mr. Ayoola Olajide a journalist and sickle cell patient narrating his experience as a patient with sickle cell disorder. I never wanted to marry because i believed I will not live long.


Pastor Emmanuel Ibekwe telling his story of how he fell in love with his wife and was advised not to marry her because they were both AS, he said he didn`t listen to the advise. He went ahead to marry his wife and they were blessed with children. Two out of them turned out to be sickle cell patients. He lost one of them named Chidinma last year. Before chidinma died, she was a final year student of Bells University.
