Top actress Bimbo Akintola who has been missing on the big screens in recent times has resurfaced in a new musical flick titled, “Hoodrsuh.”
Bimbo used to be the favourite of most Nollywood producers following her stunning appearance in Richard Mofe-Damijo’s “Out of Bounds” before she eventually went underground.
By starring in this new flick, which also paraded other emerging stars such as O.C Ukeje, Gabriel Afolayan, Chelsea Eze, Ijeoma Agu and Lilian Byoma amongst others, the thorough-bred actress undoubtedly gives her sagging career a big lift.
Produced by Flipsyde Studios, “Hoodrush” was directed by Dimeji Ajibola, a relatively new comer in the area of feature film who has done a couple of production, including short films to his credit.
For Bimbo Akintola, starring in “Hoodrush” was just another step in the right direction as she has always been known for stellar performances in her roles.
The Theatre Arts graduate of University of Ibadan started her foray into acting when she starred in “Owo Blow”, a movie which launched her into the mainstream acting world. It was therefore not surprising that she was already making money for herself, even before she left the university.
Shortly, after starring in “Owo Blow”, she also distinguished herself in “Out of Bounds”, where she acted alongside prolific actor, RMD.
Akintola further cemented her place as a force to reckon with, when she starred in the award winning movie, the “Mourning After”, a movie that highlights the pains of widowhood.
